The most important thing that happened during the All-Star festivies (aside from Joe Kelly’s snub, but we mean important in a good way), is not receiving the attention it deserves:
Tim Kurkjian and Pitbull.
What a pair.
One of the great things about Pitbull is that he is such an unusual human that he has an abundance of foils. The city of South Bend. NASCAR. Me, eventually, I would imagine. So far, he’s united with all of them (which is why I included myself in that list—unification with Pitbull would be big for my personal brand). Which brings me to my real point here:
Actually, nothing. Tim Kurkjian met Pitbull. That’s the point. Pitbull definitely knew who Kurkjian was and Kurkjian definitely asked someone to explain to him who Pitbull was, and he definitely walked away not fully getting it. God bless them both.
