Sometimes, you need to take a stance. Sometimes, you need a topic for a quick-hitter blog post on a Thursday afternoon, and since Austin City Limits starts tomorrow and you live in Austin and you aren’t attending, you need to turn that into a stance.
I won’t be attending Austin City Limits this year.

Yeah, no, I’m not anti-ACL. (Unless it’s Justin Fields’s ACL JUST KIDDING I would never wish ill on Justin Fields that man has enough going wrong in his life. [But can you imagine the Bears-fan meltdown if Fields tore his ACL? Holy butts.]) I’m just not going. Mother-in-law in town this weekend, anniversary next weekend, looked at the lineup when it came out but didn’t internalize it. No idea who’s headlining. I should probably go one year, but I’m a busy guy! I have a dog! And a job that doesn’t pay unless I do it really, really well for the next two or three years!
Might give some rideshare rides, though. So be sure to tip.
