Why I Sold All My Bitcoin

As I hinted at earlier this week, I sold all my bitcoin. I am bitcoin-less for the first time in more than a year.

It’s an empty feeling, in a way, knowing it’s not there. But it’s also liberating.

Because now I can tweet things like:

and see what happens.

As for why I sold, well, nothing really changed about Bitcoin. I just realized that even if all the Bitcoin in the world becomes worth as much as all the gold in the world, I would not be rich enough with my previous investments to live off the earnings forever. And with sports betting newly legal in Iowa, and my friend Joe doing well at it, I’m instead going to give him money and hope that he uses it to make more money and support me in my old age, should I ever grow old.

Anyway, look forward to all-caps tweets of “BUY” and “SELL” whenever the mood strikes. Gonna see if I can influence the market.
