What College Basketball’s Start Date Means for the NIT

We have a college basketball start date (it’s November 25th) and we have some other specifics (teams are encouraged to play a minimum of four nonconference games, the maximum number of regular season games is 27 rather than the customary 31), but we don’t have any news on the NIT.

That’s ok.

This is a step forward—a step back towards the tournament we all know and love. Everyone keep wearing your mask. Everyone keep social distancing. We can get this tournament back—together.

Oh, I guess this does mean the NIT Season Tip-Off, if it happens, will probably just ditch those weird on-campus games that don’t affect the rest of the tournament. I’m down with that. I’d guess you are too (ok probably not you ClevelandStateFan1987).
