The Senators Blew a Two-Goal Lead Last Night (But They’re Not in Last!)

The Senators were formally eliminated from playoff contention last night.

But they’re not in last place!

The Final:

Canadiens 3, Senators 2 (OT)

How It Happened:

Kind of a bummer. Senators had a two-goal lead in the third period but let Montreal back in it.

Any Fights?

Yes! Josh Norris!!

I’m impressed.

Standings:

Feels good to be the sixth-best.

Toronto: 71 points, 51 games played
Edmonton: 62 points, 49 games played
Winnipeg: 57 points, 50 games played
Montreal: 55 points, 50 games played
Calgary: 47 points, 50 games played
YOUR BELOVED OTTAWA SENATORS: 43 points, 51 games played
Vancouver: 41 points, 45 games played

Senators News:

I didn’t see anything big.

Senators Thoughts:

Hate to see a lead slip away like that, but I suppose that does happen now and then, and it’s been a bit since they’ve blown one of two or more goals, right?
