Texas Opens Big 12 Play…?

We’ve tried this once.

The Game

Texas vs. Oklahoma State (in Austin)

The Opponent

Oklahoma State. Last made the NIT in ’18. Lost that year to WKU in the quarterfinals. No NIT championships, but a few third place games back in the 30’s and 40’s.

What Texas Needs to Do

Get a win! We need the Shaka Smart hype to grow. We are Shaka guys here. All part of the long game (if you don’t know what the long game is you can probably figure it out if you click around this site enough—think I’ve spelled it out a few times).

On the Court

The Pokes are solid. Not amazing, and might end up with a rough conference record, but they’re a good team. Cade Cunningham’s great. Isaac Likekele’s really good. The team’s sneaky solid defensively. Which means Texas just needs to score. Because the Horns’ll probably be able to slow down OK State’s not-all-that-multidimensional offense.

As for how to score? Don’t really care. They can figure that out better than I can.
