The Pasta Wasn’t Cooked

Well this is great. I had a good blog post lined up asking why the pasta was cooked, and then I googled the whole thing to get a link to provide the backstory, and it turns out it was raw pasta the whole time! Nature cooked it.

For those unaware of what I’m referencing: Someone found what was estimated to be two hundred pounds of pasta sitting in mounds on the bank of a creek in New Jersey. It was sensational. The pictures are great. Unfortunately, this was not an Italian-American Trojan Horse dropped by Tony Delvecchio of the old Backyard Baseball computer game. It was just someone clearing out their dead mom’s house. She’d had a lot of pasta stocked up.

The reason the pasta looked cooked is that it rained in New Jersey this weekend, and evidently rain can cook your pasta for you. Not a bad discovery, to be honest. If I don’t see someone cooking precipitation pasta on the right side of a Chef Reactions TikTok this week, I’m going to lose some respect for The Internet.
