The NBA Draft Combine was last week, and, as we previously noted, Tacko Fall earned himself an invitation.
Once there, Fall turned heads, and not just upwards, which has to happen for someone to look at his face. No, Fall’s performance got the people talking—talking about him.
“Fall is kind of a real NBA Draft prospect.”
“Fall is just a genuinely unique player who is unlike anything else in basketball right now.”
“If he got picked in the last 10 picks of the draft, I don’t think I’d be particularly surprised.”
And that’s all just from this recap of the combine by The Athletic’s Sam Vecenie (it’s behind a paywall, and whether it’s worth it or not is up to you and you alone—though if you’re looking for guidance, know that my subscription is a debated item on The Barking Crow’s budget).
Presumably, other sources (not to mention scouts and general managers) are also raving about your favorite big man, saying things like (these are all just conjecture on my part):
“Tacko Fall might turn out to be the greatest player in NBA History.”
“I’m not saying I’ll use a lottery pick on Tacko Fall, but that’s only because I don’t have one.”
“Wow. The Pelicans are going to have a great front court between Anthony Davis and Tacko Fall.”
Their words. Not mine.
