Josef Newgarden isn’t favored over the field, but he’s a sizable favorite compared to the field, coming in at +180 while the next-closest guy, Colton Herta, is at +500. Only six races left after this one and Newgarden’s a good ways back of series leader Álex Palou, so he could use the win today. Pato O’Ward and Scott Dixon are between Palou and Newgarden in the standings.
