It had been a while since Joe Kelly had allowed a run.
Over a month, in fact.
So last night’s effort (six batters, three hits, a home run, three runs, outcome of game not affected) was probably overdue.
But he threw gas. He moved the game along. And after two and a half months of dominance, he’s at the point where Dodgers fans don’t lose their minds every time he allows a run.
Plus, his ERA’s still a respectable 4.66 (2.16 since Joe Kelly Bobblehead Night).
The Joe Kelly Hype Zone is unmoved.
