IndyCar Gets Dramatic—I Think

Lot of contact last night in the IndyCar race, including some that took out Álex Palou and shook up the standings, but nothing too dangerous, thankfully.

That’s two straight weeks of issues for Palou, and with Josef Newgarden winning, things are tight:

1. Pato O’Ward – 0 points behind
2. Álex Palou – 10 points behind
3. Josef Newgarden – 22 points behind
4. Scott Dixon – 43 points behind
5. Marcus Ericsson – 60 points behind

Three races left, so this should be a good chase, but it’s unclear if people care about the IndyCar championship, so we’ll see.

Two weeks off now (they’ve gotta get out west, which must take two weeks), then the Portland/Monterey/Long Beach trio to wrap things up.
