Burnley Euros News, Brady Gone, Player of the Year Awards Tonight, Affiliate Check-In

Your Burnley roundup for the week:

Nick Pope Had Knee Surgery

Sounds like it went well (the cartilage must be fixed, or on its way to being fixed), but the keeper’s not going to be on England’s roster for the Euros.

Matěj Vydra and Bailey Peacock-Farrell Were Rostered for Euros

Vydra for the Czech Republic, Peacock-Farrell for Northern Ireland, both as expected.

Robbie Brady Is Gone

Brady looked lost out there at times this year, but he was evidently a big piece of the 2017-18 campaign that qualified for the European NIT before suffering a bunch of injuries. We’ll see where he lands.

The Players of the Year Awards Are Tonight

Big celebration of the year for the Clarets. Assuming that starts soon if it isn’t going on already. Information at burnleyfootballclub.com.

Cobh’s in Action Today, Portadown Plays Tomorrow

Cobh Ramblers are scoreless with Cork City in the first half as this is written. A win would pull them up to one point away from eighth, and presumably further away from last.

Portadown beat Dungannon Swifts on Tuesday and plays Ballymena tomorrow in what I think is their season finale.
