It was quite the night back in 2013, when a Nerlens Noel-less Kentucky lost its first round NIT date with Robert Morris. The world noticed:

- Miami’s off to a bad start against Purdue in the Big Ten/ACC challenge, by which we mean a great start. Yes, they’re short-handed, but the losses still help.
- Colorado and Tennessee just tipped. Tennessee’s not looking like an NIT factor at the moment, but Colorado is, and we just saw another SEC team we definitively called not-a-factor-yet fall right into our loving arms. Come here, Tennessee. Give us a hug.
- Syracuse plays Rutgers. OLD BIG EAST.
- Penn State’s trying to climb back into NIT-land, visiting Virginia Tech in a matchup of schools we remember as being better at football than they were.
