College football season is approaching, and I’ve been asked a few times whether I’ll once again be supporting Weber State University, as I came to do last year.
The answer to this question, of course, is yes. But I want you all to know something.
I have not given up, and I will not give up, on the campaign to change Weber State’s athletic nickname from the Wildcats to the Beekeepers. There are negotiables, and I do not wish to upend Weber State’s proud history. In other words, as I said last October, Waldo should remain on the sidelines.
But I want him dressed like this:
