For the 2022nd straight year, Joe Kelly is not on the cover of MLB The Show, and frankly, when is this bullshit going to stop? We have nothing again Shohei Ohtani. Nothing at all. But there’s more than one historic talent right now, and just because Dave Roberts won’t let our guy hit the ball into the Pacific Ocean (yes, we understand the orientation of Dodger Stadium, we’re banking on a high launch angle, an active jet stream, and a momentary lapse in Russia’s missile defense systems) doesn’t mean you just give the cover to someone else.
I don’t know. Maybe I’m being irrational. But I mean, you guys had Joe Mauer on your cover twice in a row one time. You had Josh Donaldson on your cover. You had Brett Lawrie on the cover in Canada. At the very least, put Kelly on the cover in San Bernardino County.
