The town where my friend lives in Montana is called Deer Lodge, and it’s home to both the state prison and the state prison museum. You can see both out his living room window. Also, the mountains! Scenic view. I mentioned this (the prison part, not the view part, I didn’t know about the view yet) to my brother earlier this week, and he said, “I bet Montana had some cool prisoners,” which is a great point. The Wild West feels like an awesome place for prisoners to originate. So, in honor of that, here’s which states I think have cool prisoners and which states I think have loser prisoners, off the top of my head (gut reaction):
