Alright, the Big Ten, Pac-12, and ACC are doing one of those things where you throw a bunch of big words out there to make it sound like you’re doing something when you’re not doing anything, BUT:
NIT implications.
IF, and this is a big if, there ends up being a scheduling agreement between the Big Ten, Pac-12, and ACC that leads to stronger nonconference basketball schedules, this could either lead to a slew of SEC teams making the NIT as their bubbly foes are forced into tougher Novembers and Decembers OR could get the committee to reconsider it’s aversion to teams that are sub-.500 overall.
History is (probably not) being made, folks.
