We Missed Mercury Day

We dropped the ball.

The 362-quintillion-ton ball.

Back on Earth Day, we went to the trouble of figuring out what every planet’s day is. Earth Day: April 22nd. Jupiter Day: May 7th. Mercury Day: August 14th.

We missed Mercury Day.

This is especially unfortunate because in that very post, we mentioned how August 14th is a good day for a holiday. Is it? Is It really? How good can it be if we couldn’t even remember it?

I suppose we could share a bunch of Mercury facts, or make up a bunch of things about Mercury and call them facts. That seems wrong, though. Instead, we’ll wait ‘til next year, and we’ll tell ourselves we really can’t miss Red Planet Day, which is next on the list. November 28th. First Tuesday after Thanksgiving this year. That’s gonna be tough.
