The San Francisco experience continues this afternoon, and we can’t wait. Are they bad? Are they good? Are they both at the same time? How many threes will they continue to take? Are they shot-blockers extraordinaire? How do you pronounce pretty much everyone’s name on this team?
Yes, the Dons have captured our hearts, making their date with Rhode Island at Mohegan Sun Arena (NIT bubble possibility?) must-see TV for every NIT fan (if, you know, you don’t have anything better going on). We are the most intrigued.
Other NIT notes for your Sunday:
- Richmond tries to make their NIT case against Kentucky.
- Virginia Tech tries to make a course correction against South Florida.
- UNC-Greensboro tries to build one of those great-records-without-good-wins, playing Winthrop in Louisville.
- South Carolina/Tulsa’s an NIT-hopeful affair.
- Washington, like Richmond, tries to make their NIT case against a good team (Baylor, in their case), and because we didn’t explain it above, making their NIT case means losing by something like exactly ten points, but not doing it after getting blown out for the first 37 minutes like Notre Dame did last night.
- Other NIT dreamers are in action, but none have much to gain. Mostly power conference schools who need wins for the W-L piece but will eventually need to lose enough to be underwhelming. Tricky spot. Best of luck to all in this position.
Enjoy your worshiping.
