They’re getting the trucks dirty again. This time at Knoxville (which, you may recall, is in Iowa).
Friday
That’s today!
NASCAR Truck Series: Corn Belt 150
Where: Knoxville Raceway (dirt track, Iowa)
When: Heats at 7:00 PM EDT, Main Event at 9:00 PM EDT
Broadcast: FS1
Recap in Sunday’s Cup Series preview.
Saturday
NASCAR Xfinity Series: Credit Karma Money 250
Where: Atlanta Motor Speedway (most of the excitement comes from potholes here, it’s getting a big repave to try to change that but not until…next year, I’d imagine)
When: 3:30 PM EDT
Broadcast: NBCSN
As with the Truck race(s), recap on Sunday with the Cup Series preview. Do wish they’d named this the Money 250 and had Credit Karma lurk around. Feel like that would’ve drawn more attention to the name and the race and therefore Credit Karma. Just my opinion, though.
SRX: SRX at Slinger Speedway
Where: Slinger Speedway (quarter-mile oval in Slinger, Wisconsin, which is just a bit outside the Milwaukee metro)
When: 8:00 PM EDT
Broadcast: CBS
Penultimate race of the inaugural season for these guys. Recap of this also in Sunday’s preview.
Sunday
NASCAR Cup Series: Quaker State 400 presented by Walmart
Where: Atlanta Motor Speedway
When: 3:30 PM EDT
Broadcast: NBCSN
Just found out NASCAR’s going on a two-week break at the end of the month to make room for the Olympics. Noble of them.
F1 and IndyCar are off this weekend. Nothing to do with the Olympics (to my knowledge).
Stinks that there are no grands prix this weekend.
Pretty messed up that those guys aren’t taking The Olympics off but are taking this week off. Just saying.
