This Twitter Account Loves Penguins, and It’s Not Mine

Lately, when pretending to be a bird on Twitter (pretending to be The Barking Crow, to be exact—which I guess isn’t pretending but I do lean into the bird identity and I am not a bird), I’ve been leaning into that bird’s feelings about penguins. The bird loves penguins.

I also started following this account, and while it didn’t give me a followback, I’m glad to have them on my feed, because they’re always up to things like this:

Something about it. The comma. The simplicity. The lack of an actual response to the tweet in question. I don’t know what’s making me so giddy every time I see the tweets (it’s one of those jokes [if it’s a joke?] that seems to get funnier with every repetition), but if this is a robot, it is the most charming robot I have ever known.
