The Smithsonian’s National Zoo Milk Repository Looks AWESOME

An astute commenter (buckethat tip to Nate) picked up on something big in our post last weekend about elephants helping other elephants with milk:

The Smithsonian’s National Zoo has a milk repository.

I went looking for information on this wonderland, and lo and behold, they wrote an article about it themselves. It’s a beautiful article. The best article. You should read it. Please, read it. And please, while reading it, notice how happy the author looks in the pictures. Milk! Joy! Wow.

If you take the quiz at the end, know that I missed two questions but got each on the second try. Let me know if you beat my score! (You might want to keep track of your score yourself.)

  1. I only missed the last one. There’s a lot of money and women in milk so I pay attention.

  2. You’re right—great piece from the Zoo Milk Repository! I, also, missed two questions—the first and the last.
