The Senators Pummeled the Canadiens Last Night

Most goals in a game since February!

The Final:

Senators 6, Canadiens 3

How It Happened:

Sens jumped ahead early on a Brady Tkachuk goal, pushed ahead by two in the second on a pair by Evgenii Dadonov, and pulled away across the third.

Any Fights?

Tkachuk took on Canadiens captain Shea Weber late in the first and more than held his own.

Standings:

Gained ground with Calgary losing.

Toronto: 51 points, 37 games played
Edmonton: 47 points, 38 games played
Winnipeg: 47 points, 38 games played
Montreal: 41 points, 34 games played
Vancouver: 35 points, 37 games played
Calgary: 35 points, 38 games played
YOUR BELOVED OTTAWA SENATORS: 30 points, 38 games played

Senators News:

Anton Forsberg manned the net.

Senators Thoughts:

The team is young. The team is fun. Tkachuk’s a blast, and there’s talent elsewhere, and I’d be interested to see how the standings compare from the point the losing streak ended early in the season. I know next to nothing, but I’m excited about future iterations of the Ottawa Senators.

What’s Next:

Sens take a quick trip to the heartland, where they’ll play the Jets tomorrow night.
