The Senators Got Another Coach Fired

Great. Now they have to try to get all the coaches fired.

The Final:

Flames 7, Senators 3

How It Happened:

Nets were a little bit bigger than usual. Something with the altitude and the curve of the earth. Sens tried Joey Daccord in goal for the last two periods, but it was too late (and Daccord didn’t have a great save percentage himself). Nonetheless, after the game, the Flames fired their coach. Wild.

Any Fights?

No. Which I’m assuming is why the guy got fired.

Standings:

A step backwards, especially with the Canucks beating the Leafs.

Toronto: 38 points, 25 games played
Winnipeg: 31 points, 23 games played
Edmonton: 28 points, 25 games played
Montreal: 26 points, 22 games played
Calgary: 24 points, 24 games played
Vancouver: 22 points, 27 games played
YOUR BELOVED OTTAWA SENATORS: 17 points, 26 games played

Senators News:

Nothing I saw.

Senators Thoughts:

Inauspicious start to the road trip, but anytime you knock off a coach you’ve gotta feel accomplished (and I’d imagine taking the series from Calgary over the weekend did help knock off the coach). And a little bad about yourself. You know, because…they were supposed to beat you. Anyhoo, there’ve been a lot of games lately, so hopefully a couple hotel nights for the fellas will have ‘em fresh for Sunday and ready to reset.

What’s Next:

Rematch Sunday, still in Calgary.
