The Senators Got a Win

Told you they were hot.

The Final:

Senators 4, Jets 2

How It Happened:

The Sens fell down two within the game’s first nine minutes, but Brady Tkachuk and Connor Brown (yes, Brown’s streak continued) got it tied, and the fellas pulled away in the third.

Any Fights?

Yes! Josh Brown traded some blows with Logan Stanley. It was a lopsided trade, in which Brown generously gave more than he received.

Standings:

Canucks and Flames still have a lot of games in hand, but closing that gap.

Toronto: 59 points, 42 games played
Winnipeg: 53 points, 42 games played
Edmonton: 52 points, 42 games played
Montreal: 45 points, 39 games played
Calgary: 37 points, 41 games played
Vancouver: 35 points, 37 games played
YOUR BELOVED OTTAWA SENATORS: 32 points, 43 games played

Senators News:

We got most of the moves listed Sunday and yesterday, but there was one after publication yesterday: Erik Gudbranson went to Nashville for a draft pick.

Senators Thoughts:

Great vibes right now, and looking around after the trade deadline, it feels like next year’s squad is fairly built up, and it feels like it should be a competitive one. Exciting times.

What’s Next:

Rematch tomorrow night (Wednesday). Looking for a sweep.
