Was Conference USA the one that did two games at once for their tournament? With one of those screens in the middle that they use at AAU tournaments?
I think that was them. Either way, loved it. Understand it’s a bad idea this year, but let’s all remember that it happened. And smile as we remember.
North Texas is the team to watch this week. They won the regular season title, but they’re comparable in quality to Louisiana Tech, and a few others have a shot (our friend Big Red has a good team at Western Kentucky this year, we think). The odds lean towards UNT finding a way to lose, but they also might not. So tune in. You could see history (yeah North Texas hasn’t made it before but they did win their only CBI).
