The NIT Fan’s Guide to the Big Sky Tournament

Yes, yes, this is pretty late. Sorry we can’t all get everything done in the morning, like the Big Sky does.

The only thing you really need to know about the Big Sky Tournament is that if Eastern Washington loses at some point, they get to play in the NIT. If they win them all, they are banished from the NIT. These are the rules, Eastern Washington. You can’t say you don’t know them now.

EWU’s got a good chance to lose. Haters and lovers alike admit that Northern Colorado’s probably the best team in the conference, and some opine that even Montana’s better than our friends at EWU. One thing working against the Eagles, though, is that they don’t get to play Montana or Northern Colorado until the championship. Which means…

If they want to make this quick and painless, they’ll have to find a way against a more challenging opponent (to lose to).
