Yesterday, the National Park Service shared what may have been its greatest Instagram post to date: a collection of reviews their parks have gotten.
Here are all the ones they shared, ranked:
8. Bryce Canyon: “I would recommend not to go in the cold months because it is very cold.”
In case you were wondering, the cold months are cold.
7. Yosemite: “Trees block views and there are too many rocks.”
Cut ‘em down.
Also, I’m curious which rocks this reviewer deems extraneous. Should the NPS get rid of El Capitan? Or would removing a few gravel paths be enough?
6. Sequoia and Kings Canyon: “There are bugs and stuff, and they will bite you on your face.”
PSA: The bugs (and stuff) in California stop at nothing.
5. Grand Canyon: “There was dirt everywhere.”
I mean, come on, Grand Canyon, get it together. Look presentable.
4. Petrified Forest: “It’s basically a desert with some dead trees.”
This person’s gonna hate it when they see their first dinosaur fossil. Unless dead animals are cooler than dead trees. Hard to say.
3. Mount Rainier: “I have seen bigger mountains.”
More like Hill Rainier if you ask me.
2. Hawaii Volcanoes: “We were eagerly expecting lots of fire and sound. There was only a plume of smoke for the 2 hours we were there.”
Life’s hard for a volcano. Go too far, you kill all your fans. Don’t go far enough, you get ripped on The Internet™ for being boring.
1. Arches: “Doesn’t look anything like the license plate.”
To be fair, this one’s on the state of Utah for setting unrealistic expectations with their interstate advertising:
