The Dodgers Are Allegedly Going to Buy Out Joe Kelly’s Contract

We have our first significant Joe Kelly news of the offseason:

There was a Joe Kelly unification in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

We also have our second:

It sounds like the Dodgers are going to buy our guy out (multiple sources, sorry, I’m not tracing it back for a link unless someone asks me directly to do that).

This, of course, is a bummer. For Dodgers fans, I mean. The most exciting news ever for the rest of the league. Every one of us, at this moment, stands a chance of seeing Joe Kelly start Opening Day for our favorite ballclub. What a world.

In other news, the haters are saying our guy won’t be ready to pitch by the beginning of April after the biceps injury, but his wife called that fake news, and who do you think I’m going to believe here?

It’s fair to wait on official word, but…the writing’s on the wall. The Dodgers are giving Joe Kelly his $4M buyout. Probably crying a little while they do it. He’s putting that check in the bank, not crying, and studying film of the biggest villains in each division so he’ll be ready to rock their world wherever he winds up. Hope they’re ready. NOT!
