The Cubs’ TV Broadcast Keeps Playing “My Own Worst Enemy” by Lit and It’s Making My Spring Better

I’ll admit. I haven’t been paying that much attention to the between-inning riffs on Marquee Sports Network’s broadcasts of Cubs games. But after two months of having “My Own Worst Enemy” by Lit stuck in my head on and off (we don’t give enough credit to that band for being named what it’s named), I finally realized where it was entering my ears, and yes, as you may have guessed, it’s Marquee Sports Network. Somewhere between the soothing sounds of Boog Sciambi and the scintillating utterings of Jim Deshaies, they keep sneaking in that duhduh-duh-duh-duh-duhduh-duh-duh-duh-duhduh-duh-duh-duh-DUH-DUH-DUHHHHH, often (I think) in the early innings, and it’s getting me fired up beyond belief.

So to whoever’s doing that, thank you. Because I’m having a great time over here.
