Texas/Iowa State Postponed—Three Thoughts

No post from Joe on this on the Iowa State side, to avoid redundancy, but the game Wednesday has already been postponed. Announcement came yesterday. The only thought from Joe is number one, which we share.

1. Hope everyone’s ok, makes a speedy and full recovery, and doesn’t spread this further.

Top priority, of course.

2. We still don’t know if Kai Jones/Brock Cunningham/Greg Brown will be healthy Saturday.

It’s all up in the air, and you hope the outbreak on the Texas side stops with those three. Texas can probably beat TCU with the same lineup it used Saturday against K-State, but obviously, health is the goal for reasons beyond beating TCU.

3. Might the Big 12 reschedule Texas and Baylor for Thursday?

This is complete speculation, and there are probably good reasons why this shouldn’t be done (television, namely), but with postponements mounting and both teams healthy enough as of Saturday to play, there’s something of a window here, and one that would give Baylor two days off beforehand and one day off after the fact. Probably won’t happen, but keeping an eye out for it, and keeping an eye out for other reschedulings around the league. Seems like we’re getting into scramble territory for the conference.
