Taking a Break? Not During the Olympics? Is F1 Soft???

First F1 raced during the Olympics, now they’re taking a lot of weeks off in a row?

Soft racing circuit. There. I said it. Probably need all the time to fix their cars instead of just bringing the power tools out on pit road. Probably need all the time to make sure there’s enough gas in their tanks to get tested instead of letting Casey Mears win the Coca-Cola 600. Probably trying to figure out whether they need boats or planes or trucks to get the cars all around the world instead of just using haulers like those of us who made the atom bomb do.

Anyway, in addition to disrespecting those representing the countries (and disrespecting NBC, who paid a lot for those broadcast rights), F1 is disrespecting the month of August by only racing at its bookends. And now I’m seeing the Denny’s earnings call is starting. Gotta run. See you next week Formula 1 fans I’ll try to cook up something else incendiary.
