Training camp began for the Boston Celtics this week, which means, more importantly, that training camp began for the legendary Tacko Fall.
Fall, the gigantic, heart-warming center out of UCF, needs no introduction. But I just gave him one, so you’ve got it if you need it.
So far, camp seems to be going well. Players have been complimentary of their prospective teammate. There are videos of him doing things like knocking down a three. It doesn’t mean he’ll make the NBA roster, of course, but it’s better than there being bad reports.
If Fall doesn’t make the Celtics, his agent has said he’ll definitely get picked up by another team, which is encouraging, but could simply be a negotiating tactic. What’s the agent got to lose, besides credibility and future clients?
Anyway, there’s a very real chance our beloved friend who doesn’t know us finds his way onto an NBA roster within the next few weeks (confession: I have no idea how long training camp lasts). Stay tuned.
