Stu’s Notes: Is Hollywood Blackballing Mason Ramsey?

Evidence emerged yesterday that Hollywood is blackballing Mason Ramsey. The evidence? See it for yourself:

Why, you may ask, would Hollywood do something like this?

That’s what we need to find out.

Moving on:

Doug Gottlieb Apologized

Well this is boring.

In a statement today, Doug Gottlieb apologized to Casey Close, Freddie Freeman’s old agent whom Gottlieb accused of malpractice. He retracted the accusations, he said he was sorry, Close released a statement calling the matter “closed,” implying the libel lawsuit he filed against Gottlieb will be dropped. Which is too bad. Doug Gottlieb on trial sounds like a really fun thing to follow. Hopefully he defames someone else soon so we didn’t get our hopes up for nothing.

What Happens If the Brewers Fire Craig Counsell?

The Brewers lost again last night in devious fashion, blowing a five-run lead late in Denver. Fans afterwards voiced their displeasure on The Internet™ (shocking, we know), and some targeted manager Craig Counsell for criticism, leading me to wonder:

What if the Brewers fire that weasel?

I’ve gotten used to hating the Brewers. I used to feel fine about them, I don’t feel fine about them anymore, this year it’s gotten so bad that I’ve gotten some pleasure watching them choke, which has made me sympathetic to the Cardinals. Albert Pujols? I think he’s cool. Yadier Molina? He’ll be dead in 35 years, I can wait that long. The Arch? Dope. The Arch is so dope.

If the Brewers become likable again, what’s a Stu to do? I definitely can’t be sympathetic to both the teams beating up the Cubs in the division. Almost makes a guy want Craig Counsell to stay gainfully employed.

Almost.

Why Does My Milk Keep Going Sour?

My milk soured last night, six days before its “best by” date. I’d baked cookies (first time in my life baking cookies by myself, please congratulate me), I opened the milk, and it was stinky. Outrageous.

So: If you or someone you know has information on how to stop milk from going sour so quickly, please let me know. I turned the refrigerator temperature down a degree. Don’t know if that’ll help or not, but we need to try things. I can’t pour another glass of milk down the sink. Not without a fight.

Jimmy Stu, Sen Forever

Tim Stützle and the Sens agreed on an eight-year extension, Pierre Dorion announced today at an Ottawa Senators preseason hype event. It’ll make him the highest-paid player on the team, which makes sense, since he’s the best player on the team. Pretty groovy for him. As the highest-paid employee at The Barking Crow (four-way tie, yes that includes the dog), I can say testify to the groove.

Viewing schedule:

4:10 PM EDT: White Sox @ Mariners (MLB TV)

High probability of a Joe Kelly appearance here, which means we’re basically set to see Joe Kelly and Luis Castillo duel. The very thing we’ve been writing for months on our prayer request forms at church.

7:40 PM EDT: Reds @ Cubs (MLB TV)

They should put that Wesneski kid out there again. Since it was in relief he can throw back-to-back days.
