It’s a Mason Ramsey day, guys. It’s a Mason Ramsey day.
This morning, Mason Ramsey’s newest music video dropped. It’s for “Before I Knew It,” which was released on the album Twang back in 2019 but has been getting some new promotion from Ramsey in recent weeks.
To be honest, I’m not entirely sure what’s happening in the video. Is it Ramsey getting back to his roots? Is it Ramsey being forced to not live a normal life? If it’s the latter, why does so much of it revolve around him shooting a music video in the first place? A bamboozler, to be sure, which makes it one of the greatest cinematic works of our time. Wish I was in a college English class so I could write a paper on this.
The YouTube comments are wholesome, as you expect from comments on a Mason Ramsey video. Everything surrounding that young man is wholesome, and by the way, he’s really a young man now. Looked pretty tall in the video, and as many others have pointed out, his voice has probably dropped since this song was recorded three years ago. We’ve watched the Wal-Mart Yodeling Kid grow up. And we will continue to do so.
Fargo Fell Down a Well
Not actually a well, and not quite a cistern, but Fargo did fall into a large hole in the ground last night. She was playing with another dog in a little retention pond and, vwoop! Into the drainage pipe she went. Big concrete thing. Large enough for a dog to jump into it thinking it was just a fun little wall to jump over mid-play.
Thankfully, our gal was still on her leash, and thankfully, the leash was attached to a harness rather than a collar, and thankfully, all clips held fast. She dangled there for a moment and then the guy whose dog was playing with the Fargs helped my wife pull Fargo up and out, to which Fargo responded by immediately continuing to play. Really glad Fargo was on her leash, and also glad I wasn’t there so that I didn’t have a heart attack and instead can just picture Fargo dangling in a dark hole, confused and possibly quite entertained. She will not go into said dried-up retention pond again, but what a ride she made of it. She’s at daycare today. Fingers crossed she isn’t eating poop. Her appetite for risk is massive.
Did the Cubs Move Their Game So We Can Watch the Bulls?
The Cubs moved their gametime up an hour and ten minutes because of rain, but they set it such that right as the game ends, the Bulls should be tipping off, and what more could you want out of a dreary night in Chicago than freezing your butt off at Wrigley Field and immediately hitching a ride down to Old Town afterwards to watch the Bulls in a warm bar? That’s what rainy city nights are all about.
In NBA-NIT news, the matchups tonight are as follows:
- NIT Star Patty Mills @ Legends Derrick White, Juwan Morgan, and NIT Also-Rans Luke Kornet/Sam Hauser/Payton Pritchard

- NIT Stud Bobby Portis @ NIT Players Alex Caruso & Troy Brown Jr.
The biggest matchups on the not-the-biggest stage.
Sens Sens the Canucks
The Canucks got Sens’d, losing in a shootout to our lovely lads from Ottawa. Alex Formenton scored twice, Filip Gustavsson was back in the net, Drake Batherson scored on a do-or-die one in the shootout, Adam Gaudette finished it. Sens are off tonight and tomorrow, resume play Friday and Saturday. Five games left. Helmet video here—that’s a fresh paintjob on the visiting locker room in Vancouver.
