I have been informed of Lando Norris’s love of milk, and my Formula 1 fanhood will never be the same (unless it gets really cliché to be a Lando Norris fan…gotta think about it).
Anyway they’re driving the cars again today. Fast, as usually.
Where It Is
The Red Bull Ring, which was evidently named the Österreichring back in the day, which evidently only means Austrian Circuit but sounds very cool. It’s in Spielberg, which is nearest to Graz of the major Austrian cities, unless you count Leoben as a major Austrian city in which case it’s nearest to Leoben of the major Austrian cities. Hour’s drive, not at a crazy elevation (only 2,000 feet), so don’t get your hopes up for a car accidentally entering orbit.
On this topic, Spielberg’s in Styria (a state), which is called Steiermark in German. So Steiermark is the name of the state, which means it isn’t some brand sponsoring the race, which is what I thought it was. Sounds so familiar. Industrial vacuums or something.

Who to Watch
I’m seeing Max Verstappen at -150, Lewis Hamilton at +150, and then a long way to the rest of the field. Verstappen’s on the pole with Hamilton next to him. Mercedes’s Valtteri Bottas would have been next to Verstappen, but he’s been bumped down to the third row due to this happening in practice when he tried a new pit exit strategy, while Red Bull’s Sergio Pérez is on the second row alongside Norris.
