Guys. First: State Flag Bracket III starts tomorrow. Second: Here’s the post about those five flags we don’t include. Third: We’re trying something new.
We’ll still conduct the bracket as we’ve conducted these brackets for the last two and a half summers: There’ll be voting on Instagram, Twitter, and Google Forms, the votes will be counted the same as they always are, we’ll ask everyone to be cool and not spam the votes. But we’re adding a wrinkle, and the wrinkle is this:
You can now predict how the bracket will turn out. And you can compete with your friends. Here’s how it works:
- Go to this link.
- Click on which flag you think will win each matchup.
- Select your championship winner from the dropdown at the bottom.
- Name your bracket.
- Write your email.
- Click submit.
You don’t need an account with Challonge (the website we’re using for this), you don’t need to pay anything, you can just submit your picks and we’ll all see who does the best. We aren’t entirely sure how this will go, but we’re going to try it out, and if everyone follows the rule (“be cool”) and doesn’t mess with the results to try to win, we might even send the winner some free merchandise.
A few other things:
- Predictions will be open through most of tomorrow’s first round, to give you a little more time to get yours in. Use this as you will. They’ll close overnight Thursday-into-Friday.
