This website is, in large part, a Joe Kelly blog. He is our priority. But it would be impossible to be a Joe Kelly blog without also loving Brock Holt. For one thing, Holt getting spiked was what led Joe Kelly to beat up Tyler Austin which is what led to our love for Joe Kelly blossoming in the manner and timing it did. Holt was a key player in that.
For another, continued exposure to Brock Holt is known to lead to liking the guy. He’s a utility man. His name is Brock Holt. He acts not a small amount like a puppy. He hit for the cycle that one time against the Yankees in the playoffs. He devotes a lot of time to kids fighting cancer. He’s been open about his mental health/concussion struggles. His son is an electric persona. We don’t know professional athletes at a personal level (we being this blog), so we hesitate to say things like “that guy’s a great guy!” but all indicators do point to Holt being a righteous dude, and he’s certainly entertaining, if nothing else. With Joe Kelly and Holt being teammates back in 2018, when our Joe Kelly fanhood was really taking off, we were exposed to Holt long enough to become Brock Holt fans. We love him.
Which means, we were very excited to learn from Joe Kelly’s wife’s Instagram this week that Brock Holt had been living with the Kelly family during Spring Training. Her account’s private, so we won’t link to the post, but she posted six videos, taken from the house’s video doorbell, of Holt dancing to the camera while leaving the home. Evidently it was a routine. Evidently Brock Holt loves to dance. Who knew?

Anyway, just excited to know that Holt and Joe Kelly are at this level of friendship. And while we have you here, here’s a post we can link to, since Brock Holt’s Instagram is not private.
