Should Owls Be Considered Mammals?

I think it’s bullshit that owls are considered birds. I know, I know. Feathers. Hollow bones. Eat at birdfeeders. But similarly to how scientists have said that tomatoes are fruits and we’ve all said, “Whoa, scientists, we say LGBT now for that, and also, we don’t care! Tomatoes are vegetables,” I think we should start claiming owls as mammals, like us. Evidence:

  • They’re fluffy.
  • They have expressive-looking faces.
  • I would like to snuggle one without fear of it biting me.
  • They are a woodland creature.
  • They look very, very soft.
  • I think they are cozy?
  • They can fly and it would be cool to have a (fluffy) mammal that can fly.

In conclusion, I would like to offer a trade:

Birds get bats.

Mammals gets owls.

We will also throw in squirrels, if desired. Because of the birdfeeder thing. Also because some squirrels can fly.
