Senators’ Comeback Falls Short in Winnipeg

Did they pull off the comeback? No. Did they start? Yes. So let’s give them credit for that.

The Final:

Jets 4, Senators 3

How It Happened:

Sens were never really in it until the end. Trailed by at least two for most of the night. Netted a couple in the third to pull back within one, but no final tally.

Any Fights?

Not last night.

Standings:

Lost an opportunity, didn’t lose ground (on getting out of last).

Toronto: 55 points, 39 games played
Winnipeg: 49 points, 39 games played
Edmonton: 48 points, 39 games played
Montreal: 43 points, 35 games played
Vancouver: 35 points, 37 games played
Calgary: 35 points, 40 games played
YOUR BELOVED OTTAWA SENATORS: 30 points, 39 games played

Senators News:

Missed this yesterday, but Colin White’s going on the IR for at least a couple games and Erik Gudbranson’s on paternity leave. Also, Friday’s Oilers game has been moved up to Thursday, so there’s now a back-to-back across Wednesday and Thursday rather than Friday and Saturday.

What’s Next:

Two-game set with the Oilers Wednesday/Thursday.
