We’ve long known that they have Joe Kelly projected to contribute 0.3 WAR this season, far below the 60.0 WAR I’m personally expecting (yes, I know that a replacement-level team wouldn’t win zero games, I just also know that Joe Kelly’s contributions should be expected to create negative losses). But ranking the Dodgers’ bullpen ninth? When they have Joe Kelly in the arsenal?
To their credit, they did call the home run thing from last year “probably just small sample noise.” But still. Joe Kelly is the best bullpen in baseball. Step it up, math.
