¡Resbaloso!

Saw a bilingual slippery-when-wet sign yesterday (but no bilingual children…cc: Department of Education).

It said,

“¡Resbaloso!”

And some other stuff.

Anyway, the sight of “¡Resbaloso!” reminded me what a funny word “slippery” is and made me wonder whether other languages have similarly comical words for the tractionless phenomenon.

You may be the judge.
