Excuse me.
Pay attention to me please.
I have arrived in New York.
I don’t say this because I believe I bring anything particular to this great city. I recognize that this city (in its greatest of weeks, no less) does not grow in grandeur due to my presence.
Rather, I say this to let the haters know where to find me. I’m in New York, I’m here for the NIT Final Four, and I’m excited. I’m the guy wearing a bucket hat and a tie with basketballs all over it. Might be holding a sign at any given time. Kind of hard to miss.
In an hour or so, I’ll be heading to the official 2019 NIT Press Conference, so make sure you’re keeping your eye out for updates here (if anything happens worth blogging about) and on Twitter (if anything else happens).
Tomorrow, The Barking Crow’s comprehensive NIT Final Four preview will be posted (ok it’ll just be mine, but I’m gonna include Joe’s numbers), and from there, expect updates on all the scintillating NIT action.
To the great city of New York: Thank you for having me.
To the haters: Seriously, come find me. I won’t throw hands, but I will engage in an impassioned verbal dispute.
To the NIT: Love you. See you soon. It’s been too long. It’s always been too long.
