We love Tim Miles. This happened quickly, in 2019, when Nebraska did him dirty and left him a lame duck for the entirety of an inspiring NIT run (Nebraska won one wild game in Lincoln in which the crowd was going nuts and a walk-on or former walk-on named Johnny Trueblood was making meaningful contributions, then got rocked by TCU in the second round). His charm. His positivity. He was Ted Lasso before we knew Ted Lasso could be an archetype.
So, we’re happy Tim Miles will be back on the sidelines this coming year after two seasons away, taking over at San José State, which plays in the Mountain West, which—as we wrote yesterday—is a good place for NIT hopefuls to play.
We’re happy.
It’s a good day.
