Good Friday, my—hmm. That looks bad.
Good afternoon, and happy Friday, my fellow NIT fans. We have fresh NIT Bracketology for you at this link yes this link please click it we have advertisers to convince to sponsor that page, and I’m here to fill in the gaps. By which I mean…
FIRST FOUR OUT!!!!!
Yes, lads and ladettes, it’s the NIT Bottom Bubble Picture (not to be confused with the NIT Bubble Bottom Picture, which some have INCORRECTLY argued is what caused Brevin Galloway’s testicular torsion). Let’s get it.
First Four Out: UCF, UNLV, Louisiana, Colorado
Yep. These are the first four teams below our 20 at-large bids in the latest NIT Bracketology.
Next Four Out: UAB, Georgia, Santa Clara, Tulane
Here it gets a little more interesting. UAB’s climbing back into the mix after beating FAU, and Jelly Walker may have struggled with his shot but he was on the floor, and that counts for a lot. Really. Someone tells you that UAB stinks, you tell them Jelly Walker was hurt but now is back. They will leave. They will run. They will not be ready for your knowledge.
Tulane, meanwhile, will not die. I am terrified of Tulane. Terrified.
Projecting Sub-.500: Washington State, Villanova, Texas Tech, LSU
There are others (Nebraska, for example), but these are the first four I noticed, and of these I think only Wazzu and Villanova would really be challenging for a bid right now. Michigan’s back into the land of the living, at least temporarily.
OVERALL THOUGHTS
Wow, you’re still reading.
Uhhh yeah, lot of Big Ten teams (5), lot of ACC teams (4), lot of power conference teams overall (16 of the 20 at-large bids). Some might not like this, but I think it helps our short-term cause, which is to fend off NCA* *********t encroachment upon our territory. The next time someone tells you the NCA* *********t should expand, ask what reason they’d then have to play the Pac-12 season.

More NIT content elsewhere on the site, in perpetuity but more immediately today and this weekend. We’ll see you there.
