We have a champion.
Three champions, really.
The first champion is the North Texas Mean Green. They are the true champions here. North Texas won this NIT, and boy oh boy, did they earn it.
The second champion is our celebrity champ, Ethan Hennessy, the greatest CBI bracketologist on the internet over at Happening Hoops.
The third? Well, that’s all of us, really.
Just kidding it’s HOYSA!!!! (Their capitalization, my exclamation points.)
HOYSA: Out of the 819 entries to the 2023 NIT Bracket Challenge, yours was the best. Second place? Andy Day. Third? Big Al’s Busty Bracket.
Ethan, HOYSA, Andy Day, and Big Al: We’ll be in your inbox early next week to talk prizes. To the rest of you? Including us, here at The Barking Crow? I think the real prize was getting this intimate relationship with the NIT. What an NIT it was. Thanks for joining us for it.
We will, of course, have more content through the entire offseason, beginning with One Shining MomeNIT, which should be up on the site in a few minutes (hopefully it’s even up by the time you’re reading this—we’re typing our little fingers off). If you aren’t an offseason NIT fan, though, that’s ok. We take all kinds, and when college basketball tips again, we can assure you of this:
We’ll be here.
And so will the NIT.
Bona NIT, everybody. Here are the final scoreboards.
