I’m not sure why this happens, but every summer, in the absence of NIT happenings, the greater sports media turns its attention to things like NBA free agency, treating it with the sort of fervor God only intended for the NIT. I’m not one to judge, of course—we all pass the time in our own way—but I can see how this gets confusing for NIT fans, so I’m here to clear things up:
