There are so many obnoxious things people call Nashville and I hope to see none of them used unironically today.
Where It Is
Nashville. Intermediate distance, right? More than a mile, less than a mile and a half? I don’t know. Hopefully it’s good racing.
When It Is
Not seeing the green flag time, but presumably shortly after 3:30 PM EDT since that’s the start time listed in the places.
How to Watch
NBCSN (start booing already)
Who to Watch
The Hendrick Motorsport cars are going to be favorites again (Kyle Larson’s at +225 on DraftKings, followed by Chase Elliott at +500 and William Byron at +800). Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, and Martin Truex Jr. (+1000, +1000, +1200) lead Joe Gibbs Racing, which is looking to start picking up some more wins itself. Miscellaneous others can contend, but that’s kind of the shape of the series at the moment.
How NASCAR Should Script It
Larson’s in control right now, winning everything in sight. Hamlin beating him in a close one would go a long way towards a “oh yeah Hamlin’s a contender and maybe the favorite” narrative.
Trucks, Xfinity
Ryan Preece won the Truck race Friday night. Kyle Busch won the Xfinity race yesterday and declined to smash the guitar he received as a trophy, something he did once that was awesome but upset a lot of losers.
