NASCAR Drivers Love the Olympics

We put out a weekend schedule every week for NASCAR, IndyCar, F1, and SRX (while it was happening), but with NASCAR beginning its Olympic break, SRX done for the year, IndyCar on an Olympics/couldn’t-get-into-Canada break, and F1 off this weekend, I guess all we can do is revel in the humor that NASCAR, of all the sports, is having a break for the Olympics. The least international sport. The sport where the skillset translates the least to any Olympic sport that does exist. The sport that only has competitions once a week anyway.

It’s because of NBC, of course, not because of NASCAR, but man—what if it was because of NASCAR? What if NASCAR was like, “Look, our drivers really love the Olympics, ok? They’ve made their voices heard.”

I’m going to keep telling myself it’s that latter explanation.
