Last Call: Help Us Fill Our Summer Brackets

Hello, all. Just a reminder that we’re looking for nominees for this summer’s brackets. We’re hoping to unveil the brackets next week. Here’s the info, from Thursday:

Our bracket schedule has been determined.

Thank you to everyone who made suggestions. We loved all of them. If yours wasn’t chosen, we still have it on file (shoutout to the person who suggested “frogs”), and rest assured—some of our choices were made because we didn’t want too good of brackets, which might imply we were trying to do something serious here.

Now, the dates below are tentative, and we’ve left space for two more TBA brackets, in case there’s time. But the following twelve brackets are happening. Start and end dates for the voting are in the parentheses. Please use this link to submit entrants to any and all of this year’s unique brackets (the ones we aren’t repeating from last year).

2000’s Bangers Bracket (April 6^th-April 14^th)

I think this is the one most likely to get someone legitimately upset.

Indivisible: The Tournament of Things That Make Us One (June 25^th-July 3^rd)

This is the hardest one to explain, personally, but it comes from the premise, and I don’t know who all originally said this so apologies for not giving credit, that no one is better than anyone else when they’re in a Waffle House. Similarly, no one is better than anyone else while drinking Miller High Life. We’re going for that kind of thing. The things that unify us, timed in an attempt to bring the entire country together before the 4^th of July (dream big).
